Track 1: Walking through the fields, Eamon recalls the many incidents which happened locally down through the years. His father’s membership of the IRA, and the Free State Army after the signing of the Truce. He recalls a story his uncle told him about the secret burial of a Black and Tan soldier in the locality. Track 2: Michael Scanlon, Eamon’s uncle, talks about his family, and a local man, Moss Leen, now deceased, also passed on stories about the place. Track 3: Walking through the bog to the plantation, where lies the grave of the Black and Tan in the vicinity of the old road to Tralee from Knocknagoshel. Track 4: The story of the murder of local man Moss Moore. Track 5: The local wakes, and the customs surrounding burial, are discussed. Track 6: Stories about visiting shooting parties in the locality over the years. The training of greyhounds locally (for Fr Michael Galvin, who is also part of this collection). Track 7: Arriving at the spot where the Black and Tan was buried. Previously we passed the place where a murdered cattle-herder is buried. Track 8: A discussion on Eamon’s youth spent working with farmers.
