Maisie O’Brien Cooper spent her early days growing up in Ballyroe House outside Tralee, Co Kerry. Her memories go back to the early part of the 20th century. We spoke about life relating to the Civil War and an amazing story about a ghost in Ballyroe House. Maisie also spoke about her sister Kay Burkley, the Carnival Queen of Tralee, in the 1940s.
